“I am trying to differentiate myself from others and make people aware that financial advisers are not people who are not approachable.”
How do you think more advisers can be encouraged to join the sector?
At 34, Winter is younger than many of his counterparts in the industry and said it helps when it comes to bringing on new clients.
“It means you can be with the clients for the majority of their financial journey,” he said.
And when it comes to promoting the profession, Winter said it is becoming a more attractive career.
He said: “It is very rewarding helping people do what is good with their money and you are paid pretty well which is attractive.
“I think the industry is getting more appealing, I certainly shout about it. I do think more people are becoming about how good this job is.”
He said the job moving away from a sales-based role had improved the perception of it.
