M&G has appointed Clive Bolton as CEO of its life insurance business as it looks to further develop PruFund products.
Clive Bolton joins M&G Life Insurance from LV where he is currently managing director of protection, savings and retirement.
He previously spent more than a decade at Aviva Life UK, including five years as managing director of retirement solutions
He also chairs the civil service pension scheme advisory board and works with the International Longevity Centre, a think tank.
Bolton is set to take up the role in September and will be in charge of developing the range of PruFund products available across the UK and Europe, as well as the five million customers in its heritage business.
In May, M&G Wealth launched the full PruFund range of funds on its wealth platform.
He said: “It will be a real privilege to work with the team to continue to deliver an excellent service to clients and drive forward M&G’s growth ambitions.”
Group CEO at M&G, Andrea Rossi, who was appointed in September 2022, said: “With a proven track record of growing and developing life businesses based around the needs of customers and advisers, Clive brings a broad understanding of the life and pensions market that will be key to supporting our existing customers, alongside the development of new innovative solutions that will underpin our growth ambitions.”
Bolton is the latest in a handful of new appointments at M&G.
Earlier this month, it was announced former Brooks Macdonald head Caroline Connellan will become CEO of M&G Wealth. She is also expected to join the company in September, replacing David Montgomery who will leave his role at the end of August.
Then in a newly created role, M&G Wealth appointed Matthew Ings to run its adviser academy.
