The Exeter is offering a HealthWise app in partnership with Square Health.
The app has been tailored according to the type of cover policyholders have and offers a package of benefits based on the typical profile of its customers.
All members have access to core benefits, GP on demand, and a second medical opinion service, providing a mix of convenience and reassurance.
For income protection and health insurance members the App also offers access to physiotherapy and mental health modules, designed to support members with personalised support and guidance through two of the most common reasons for claim.
For life cover members of The Exeter's Managed Life and Real Life plans practical advice on issues such as diet and nutrition are available.
All benefits are accessed through the app, which can be downloaded on a smartphone and tablet.
Andy Chapman, chief executive of The Exeter, said: "We have long been committed to providing health and protection insurance that provides real reassurance at claim, but we wanted to do more.
"HealthWise is the next step in this journey, delivering real benefits that will help our members manage their health positively and improve their overall quality of life."
Roy McLoughlin, associate director of Cavendish Ware, said it was fabulous that The Exeter had embraced digital healthcare as "this is undeniably the future."
He said: "Square Health are at the forefront of this revolution so this partnership is to be welcomed."
